Legal Structure
University Campus Suffolk Students' Union is a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 6967378 and registered office at Waterfront Building, Neptune Quay, Ipswich, IP4 1QJ. All students of UCS automatically become members of the Union unless they opt out of membership.
The Union's governing documents are the memorandum and articles of association and the bye-laws, which you can download below.

Suffolk Union Services Limited
The Union owns a subsidiary company called Suffolk Union Services Limited (registered in England and Wales; registered number 7316145; registered office at Waterfront Building, Neptune Quay, Ipswich, IP4 1QJ) which operates the Union's trading interests.
The company's Board of Directors consists of five members:
- Jonathan Wright, President (Education & Engagement), ex officio (Chair)
- Sam Bennett, Vice-President (Rights & Activities), ex officio
- Paddy Reilly, General Manager, ex officio
- Two external members, i.e. not affiliated with the Union or UCS (vacant)
The external members will be appointed by the Union in Summer 2012.
NUS Services Limited
The Union also owns 60 shares in NUS Services Limited, a purchasing consortium owned by the National Union of Students and member students' unions.
