Hall Reps

Got an issue in student accommodation? Tell YOUR Halls Rep!

If you live in any of the accredited student halls (Athena Hall, Spring Court or Quayside Student Living) you will be represented by a Halls Rep. They are elected by people who live in the halls and sit on the Halls Rep Forum, which is Chaired by the Vice President. Issues raised in this forum will then be  passed on to the landlords and UCS by the VP.

To find out who yours is, download the document below that has a list of the Halls Reps. If you can’t find your rep, please email su.democracy@ucs.ac.uk

What does a Halls Rep do?
Your Halls Rep will meet us at the Halls Forum every month to tell us about the issues affecting you and the people who live in your hall. To find out about issues, the Halls Rep will be talking to everyone in their jurisdiction, organising social events and generally be available for people to talk to.

How do I sign up to be a Halls Rep?

The reps are appointed near the beginning of each academic year, so keep your eyes peeled for when we announce the application period!

If your block of accommodation has already got a rep you can nominate yourself at the start of the next academic year. If it hasn’t got a rep you can apply to be a rep for this year by e-mailing su.vicepresident@ucs.ac.uk

What’s in it for me?

The Halls Reps are accredited, certified and gain loads of employability skills that they can use after they graduate. For more details about the Accreditation Award, click here
