Freshers' Fever
Well that is Freshers over and done with for another year! It was a hectic and yet thoroughly enjoyable week if I do say so myself. From giving numerous orientation presentations across all of the network centres to the Freshers’ fair held in the UCS Waterfront Building it has been a hectic couple of weeks for the us here at the Union, officers and staff a like trying our hardest to make sure it all went smoothly. Hopefully you will agree with me when I say that it worked and was an enjoyable and useful week?
However amongst all of this, UCS once again decided they would be more than “helpful” in our bid to be open and easily accessible to all students, as previously they removed our phones etc they decided this time it would be helpful to remove access for our computers (internet etc) and then amongst it all turf us out of our office and “re-home” us. We are now to be found in P Block, this is temporary but could be any time up to and more than likely to be more than the next 5 weeks.
It’s a short blog this time as I am sure most or all of you are aware of what was going on through out freshers’ and if not come talk to me and I will explain a little more about what went on and what/how the union are and can help you.
