Getting involved in a UCS Union Sports Club is a great way of meeting people with common interest, getting fit and healthy, taking up a new sport or continuing one you already play. University sport offers the chance to represent your institution at national level against other universities or simply to play a bit of recreational sport with other students.
How do I get involved?
To sign up to any sport, simply come into the office and purchase a Sports Card – this gives you the opportunity to attend any of the sports team training sessions. Sports Cards are available for the remainder of the 2011/12 year for only £20!
The registration fee includes the cost of coaching, insurance, affiliations, BUCS team competition entry, staff, use of playing kit, match officials, training facility hire, transport to away matches, match venue hire, marketing, administration and the use of some specialist equipment. Sports card holders will not be required to pay anything else during the season to participate in any training and BUCS matches.
