Welcome Week 2010 is shaping up to be our best week yet. It's the best chance you'll ever get to make some student friends and we can't repeat enough how important your social and support networks at UCS are and how they should consist of more than just your classmates or housemates. So here's your chance to get out there and mingle!
Welcome Week isn't all about drinking, late nights and hangovers so students have no reason not to get involved in at least some of the events. Of course, for anybody who's looking for late nights, we've included some suitable events.
Many UCS students have children and we've built in some events to allow you to bring along your children and meet some other students parents.
NUS Extra 2010/11
The new NUS Extra card for 2010/11 is now available to purchase online. It's a must have item for all students!
The NUS Extra card costs £11 per year - over £4 of that goes directly to UCS Union to help fund our activities. NUS has negotiated many additional discounts and you can get a full list of available discounts here or continue reading below to find out how to buy the card.

LivingTV programme 'Four Parties' are looking for party people turning 21 in 2010 to attend and score each others' events. It's basically 'Come Dine With Me' meets 21st birthday parties! The event that scores highest will win the ultimate party holiday for four; the destination will depend on who wins!
