Union Council

What is Union Council?
Union Council is one of the governing bodies that make decisions on how UCS Union is governed. Union Council is also one of the main ways in which UCS Union finds out what the issues are that our students are facing.
Union Council is made up of the Course Reps that the students have elected and meets every month to discuss the issues that their course mates have asked them to discuss.
Before every meeting, Course Reps are asked to find out from their fellow students what issues they have so they can be raised and discussed at Union Council. The Student Officers, including the President, Vice President and the Part-Time School Officers and Campus Officers will then take these issues to UCS and work with the University in dealing with them.
At Union Council, Course Reps will also meet with various departments of UCS to talk directly about the services they provide. This could be the Library staff, IT, Estates or Academic Services.
Below, you can download the minutes of all the Union Council meetings that have taken place this year.
